Peter Quick Joins GAIN Capital Group's Board of Directors
Former President of American Stock Exchange (AMEX), Quick & Reilly Brings Industry Expertise to Online Currency Trading Firm
Bedminster, NJ - January 8, 2007 - GAIN Capital Group, LLC, a leading provider of Foreign Exchange (Forex) trading and services for institutional and individual investors, today announced the appointment of Peter Quick to its Board of Directors. The addition of Mr. Quick, as an independent director, brings the total number of GAIN Capital board members to seven.
From July 2000 to April 2005, Mr. Quick, served as president of the American Stock Exchange. Prior to joining AMEX, Mr. Quick was the president and chief executive officer of Quick & Reilly, Inc., a leading national discount brokerage firm that was acquired in 1998 by FleetBoston Financial Corp. (now Bank of America).

In addition to GAIN Capital Group, Mr. Quick, 50 years old, is currently the lead Independent Director of Reckson Associates Realty Corp. (NYSE: RA) and also sits on the Board of Medicure (AMEX: MCU). Mr. Quick has served on the Board of Governors of the Chicago Stock Exchange and was Chairman of the Midwest Securities Trust Company. He has also been a Director of The Options Clearing Corporation, CUSIP, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, the NASD Insurance Agency, and Alliance Money Market Fund.
Mr. Quick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia and attended Stanford University's graduate school of Petroleum Engineering. He was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, and served four years on active duty. Recognized for his personal and professional achievements, Mr. Quick received the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor award in May 2000.
