Client Services / Sales Location: New York, NY

This entry-level position is ideal for anyone seeking to gain hands-on experience in the financial services, online trading and/or brokerage industries - and offers unlimited advancement potential.

In response to our rapid growth over the past years, we seek motivated, organized, team-oriented individuals to provide assistance in account opening and operational support to the firm's rapidly growing customer base of professional and individual forex traders.

Responsibilities

  • Being part of a team dedicated to handling all aspects of the customer experience.
  • Facilitate outbound opening of new accounts for potential clients who already indicated interest in our platform and provide support for existing customers.
  • Handle incoming sales inquiries and client issues via phone, email and live, interactive chat.
  • Not a cold calling sales position
  • This position will involve exposure to all aspects of GAIN's business via daily interaction with trading, operations, and accounting.

Required Qualifications

  • College graduate (Recent grads eligible) or Customer Service and/or sales experience, especially within a brokerage or financial services environment.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must.
  • We will provide on the job training, but ideal candidates will be aggressive, flexible self-starters with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a "service" mindset in order to support GAIN's customers in the demanding, real-time environment of active trading.
  • Fluency in Russian, Arabic, Chinese or Japanese a plus!

Compensation

Competitive salary of $35K base plus quarterly bonuses. We structure our employee compensation to motivate and reward superior performance. Employee benefits include medical, flex spending plan, employer matched 401k program, paid holidays and vacation.

Staff Accountant Location: Bedminster, NJ

GAIN Capital is currently looking for a Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable processing including data entry of invoices, facilitating the invoice approval process, ensuring proper account coding, and generating weekly checks and wire requests.
  • Independently prepares schedules and journal entries.
  • Assists in researching, analyzing and reporting on issues that affect the company, making recommendations for solutions, and following through to resolution.
  • Assures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of approrpriate internal controls.
  • Prepares financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company.
  • Keeps abreast of and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily and also work on special projects as needed.
  • Supports fixed asset processing and reporting.
  • Assists in providing quarterly and annual audit support.

Qualifications:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years Accounting experience preferred
  • CPA, CMA, MBA or Masters degree in Accounting preferred
  • Financial month-end close process experience. General Ledger and Journal Entry experience preferred.
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Accuracy in processing data required
  • Self-starter who can demonstrate initiative and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Great Plains accounting system or FRx reporting a plus.

This position will oversee the development roadmap for FOREX.com's trading platforms. As Product Manager, Client Trading Platforms, you will work closely with the VP, Product Strategy to scope, design and implement new products and features that will enhance FOREX.com's client facing trading platforms, including website trading, active trader platform, mobile trading and white label solutions.

The position will require extensive interaction & collaboration with GAIN's marketing, trading, technology, and operations teams. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in the electronic trading arena, at either a retail or an institutional level. Experience in forex, derivatives, broader capital markets, accounting and operations areas is considered a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple client trading platforms across all stages of the development life-cycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, integration, implementation and support.
  • Partner with marketing, sales and development teams to drive the strategic direction of our proprietary trading platforms.
  • Assist in forging and managing relationships with external providers (e.g. market data, research providers, trading tools, etc) to enhance the trading platforms' capabilities. Coordinate with vendor and internal technology team to bring the solution to market.
  • Partner with product marketing to effectively communicate features and benefits to our user base.
  • Stay abreast of market drivers and competitive offerings and regularly interface with sales and customer service staff in order to better understand customer needs.
  • Own, create and maintain key product documentation for internal and external use.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years work experience in the trading technology, brokerage or other relevant industry.
  • Familiarity with Forex and/or other OTC trading products a plus.
  • Past experience in implementing trading solutions either in-house or for external clients (front office trading systems, risk systems, operational/STP systems, etc.)
  • Experience working with external clients or vendors on product design, deployment and business process redesign.
  • Familiarity with broad range of technologies and industry protocols such as FIX, SWIFT, FpML etc. Knowledge of SQL and .Net is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • An entrepreneurial approach to large, complex projects -- able to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment, along with the ability to manage and lead as well as perform hands-on tasks.
  • Bachelor's Degree required

We are looking for a talented Trading Floor Production Support Analyst to join our team.

The position will be based in Bedminster, NJ

Responsibilities include:

  • Trading Floor support of Gain Capital's high-transaction, low-latency FX trading systems
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, external customer support, and other technology groups (Product Development, Development and Engineering)
  • Work with various technology teams to lead problem resolution
  • Work with our development and QA staff in testing, configuring, staging and deploying new systems to production
  • Own and manage the incident response process. Must be able to escalate problems to appropriate engineering teams, while adhering to SLAs
  • General knowledge of FIX protocol and interfaces
  • Monitor, Measure, Analyze and report parameters constituting the technology of GAIN's production trading environment.
  • Monitoring our trading systems, non-trading applications as well as the underlying infrastructure (i.e. OS, Server and Network)
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
  • Escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal or external resources.
  • Work with counterparties to ensure day-to-day operations are sufficient
  • Exposure to TCP/IP, firewalls and networking troubleshooting step
  • Exposure to monitoring tools is a requirement
  • Perform daily run book activities and provide daily shift turnover reports on
  • Collect and report system outage data for trend analysis
  • Perform post release testing after application upgrades and/or releases
  • Exposure to SQL server and queries is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with trading systems and traders
  • Must be able to demonstrate technical problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth trouble shooting knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, TCP/IP and Desktop configurations
  • Capable of writing SQL and performing adhoc queries
  • Must be well versed in a scripting language on either Microsoft or UNIX platform
  • Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
