Glenn StevensPresident & Chief Executive Officer
Glenn Stevens is a financial industry veteran with more than 25 years trading and foreign exchange (FX) experience at several leading global financial institutions. Glenn drives the strategic goals of the Company and oversees all of its business units. He also serves on the Company’s Board of Directors.
He joined GAIN Capital in February 2000 as a founding partner and managing director, and assumed the CEO role in June 2007. Previously, Glenn was managing director, head of North American sales and trading at Natwest Bank. In this role, Glenn directly managed a staff of more than 50 trading and sales professionals and also served as a senior member of Natwest's North American Management Committee. From 1990 to 1997, Glenn was at Merrill Lynch and Co., where he was hired as a USD/JPY trader and was eventually promoted to managing director and chief dealer for spot and forward FX. While at Merrill Lynch, Glenn developed the investment bank's emerging markets currency trading desk. During this time, he also served as the Federal Reserve Bank's FX representative for investment banks. Glenn's Wall Street career began in 1984 at Bankers Trust Company.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Glenn serves on the National Futures Association's FX Advisory Committee and is a founding member of the Foreign Exchange Dealer's Coalition. Glenn holds a B.S. in finance from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University.
Muhammad RasoulExecutive Vice President, Chief Product Officer
Muhammad is responsible for the vision, development and execution of GAIN’s product strategy across all business lines, and also leads the firm’s institutional business development function, including GAIN GTX and retail partnerships. He also serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
Prior to joining GAIN in May, 2012, Muhammad was executive vice president and chief operating officer at GFT Markets. During his 16-year tenure at GFT, he managed the company’s global operations and was responsible for trading, operations, risk, compliance and IT. He also led the development of GFT’s trading platforms and tools as well as expansion of their product offering to include FX, contracts for difference (CFDs), binaries and options. An industry pioneer, Muhammad is well-known and well-respected globally and has helped craft many of the FX regulations adopted around the world. He also served on the National Futures Association's FX Advisory Committee and is a founding member of the Foreign Exchange Dealer's Coalition.
Samantha RoadyExecutive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Samantha leads GAIN Capital's global marketing strategy, advertising, brand management, customer marketing and corporate communications. She also manages direct sales for the Company’s retail business and serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
A founding partner, Samantha brings to GAIN extensive experience marketing products and services in the financial services industry. Samantha joined GAIN in October 1999 from FNX Limited, where she was director of marketing for the international trading and risk management systems provider. In that role, Samantha directed all marketing communications activities worldwide, as well all marketing initiatives related to joint ventures and industry alliances. During her 5-year tenure, FNX grew from a relatively unknown derivatives software firm to a leader in its field, and one of the fastest growing companies in the US. Samantha holds a B.A. in international affairs from James Madison University.
Diego RotsztainExecutive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Diego oversees the legal and compliance functions at GAIN, leads the Company’s global corporate development activities and also serves as corporate secretary to the Company's Board of Directors. He serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
Prior to joining the company in January 2011, Diego was a partner at Mayer Brown, where he was responsible for leading capital markets and merger and acquisition transactions for global companies, as well as providing on-going corporate governance, SEC reporting and general corporate and transactional advice to such companies. Prior to Mayer Brown, Diego worked in Davis Polk & Wardwell's Capital Markets Group and began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable David G. Trager in the Eastern District of New York. He received a B.A. in economics from Tufts University and a J.D. with honors from Columbia University School of Law where he served on the Law Review.
Jeff ScottExecutive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer
Jeff oversees the management of all global technology development and infrastructure at GAIN, as well as its core global operations. He also serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
Jeff joined GAIN Capital in February 2011, bringing with him over 15 years of operational and technology leadership experience in and around the financial services industry. Most recently he was president of Toluna USA. Previously, Jeff held senior positions at several digital media businesses including LexisNexis and SourceMedia. From 1999 until 2005, he served in a number of capacities at Thomson Financial, now ThomsonReuters, including chief technology officer and chief product officer. Jeff holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Dayton in Ohio and M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
Joseph WaldExecutive Vice President, Head of Institutional
Joe is responsible for leading GTX, GAIN Capital’s institutional business. He has over 18 years of experience building and managing innovative trading technologies, platforms and execution systems for institutional market participants. Joe also serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
Prior to joining GAIN in January 2013, Joe was a managing director and head of Knight Direct, Knight Capital Group’s institutional electronic trade execution business. He oversaw the strategy, development and implementation of Knight Direct’s products and services and was responsible for sales, marketing, operations and support. Prior to Knight Capital, Joe was CEO and co-founder of EdgeTrade Inc., which pioneered the development of agency-only, liquidity seeking algorithms and provided direct market access technologies for the equity markets. EdgeTrade was sold to Knight Capital Group in 2008. Joe holds a B.S. in Business, Management and Finance from Brooklyn College.
Alexander BobinskiChief Compliance Officer
Alex manages global regulatory compliance for the Company, and is responsible for the financial operations and compliance activities of GAIN Capital Group LLC, the US regulated subsidiary of GAIN Capital Holdings, Inc. He also serves as the Company's liaison with GAIN's regulatory agencies, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association.
From 1990 to 2005, when Alex joined GAIN, he served in leadership positions at several companies, including as vice president and controller for the futures and options business at Nomura Securities International. Alex began his career at the National Futures Association as an in-charge auditor. A Certified Public Accountant, Alex also holds a B.S. in business administration and accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Jason EmersonExecutive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Jason is responsible for all finance and accounting functions for GAIN Capital Holdings, Inc. and its operating units, including financial reporting, planning, tax, treasury, and investor relations. He also serves as a member of GAIN’s Executive Operating Committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the Company.
Prior to joining GAIN in October 2013, Jason was Managing Director and Business Manager of KCG Holding's Global Execution Services division, responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the business. Previously, he served as KCG's Director of Financial Operations. Prior to KCG, Jason held financial and operational positions at Instinet, Merrill Lynch and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jason holds BS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
Tim O'SullivanGlobal Head of Trading
Tim manages GAIN's retail and institutional trading operations and oversees the Company’s relationships with our global liquidity providers and trading partners. With GAIN since its founding, Tim has over 20 years of experience trading in the interbank FX market, including holding senior positions at global financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch and Standard Chartered Bank.
Prior to joining GAIN, Tim was director of the NY Sterling desk at Merrill Lynch. Hired in 1994 to establish a presence in Asian Exotic spot & forward currencies, Tim subsequently assumed responsibility for the EMS currencies desk. In 1997, he launched the Mexican Peso desk. Tim started his career at Standard Chartered Bank, holding several significant positions during his eight-year tenure, including running forward books in DEM and trading spot Far East and exotic currencies. Tim holds a B.S. from the University of Delaware.
